hello from bedrest!

Today's transfer went really well.  It was quite emotional.  Out of the 10, 3 had to be discarded, 2 were transferable and 5 were not quite developed enough but they will let us know if they grow more tomorrow.  We hope they do so we can get some frozen.  I was quite upset about that.  So keep your Fingers crossed for me!!   The embies inside are grades 3 and a 2.   I feel very relaxed and look forward to 8/9 for my beta.  Aug 2 is my PL blood draw.  Does anyone know what it should be?

It is so hard for me to keep my mouth shut too, but my DH is in the military so I don't have any family around, so they only know what I tell them.  The first IVF BFN was so disappointing and then having to tell everybody that it didn't work was even worse.  That is what I keep reminding myself whenever I want to tell somebody.

I am a walker too.  I get too out of breath running, although I think if this IVF doesn't work I am going to have to try some running b/c I have gained at least 10 pounds doing all this.  It is awful.  I am used to working out.  I have never weighed this much.  Good luck!!  I am hoping we all get BFP.  SSBD!!!!

Hi Llenda, It is so hard for me not to tell anyone.... I don't know how you did it.  How great it will be to let everyone know when you get a bfp!!!   I haven't had any spotting.  I hope my embies are imbedding themselves.  I look forward to hearing from you on MON!!!!!!!!  SSBD!
Hi SDScietist, Yes, the cysts are normal.  I had to go through a wait period after each IUI for this reason.  If this cycle doesn't work I am sure I'll have cysts..... yet again.  They go away.  You're a runner?  That's great.  I like to walk not run. 8-)  I bought a new pair of running shoes not to long ago to help me motivate (thinking I would start jogging).  Maybe during the 2nd trimester.

Hi all,  I am bored too.  I am tired of waiting.  My transfer was 7/21 and my beta is Monday.  I have to work a lot the next five days so I am sure it will pass fast.  SDteacher, I had a little pain for a while on my left side.  It is wierd, on my first IVF, I had some brown spotting which I haven't had this time.  Also yesturday, I felt very BLAH all day but when I woke up this morning I felt good.  I am trying hard to be realistic.  A lot of people don't get symptoms this early.  I am sure it is this da** progesterone.  You can't even trust your symptoms.  As my time gets closer, I am getting more nervous.  I haven't told anybody.  Not even my mom.  She called today and I decided to tell her but she was so busy talking that before I could say anything she said she had to go....LOL  If I can just hold out telling anybody that would be great.

He will let me fly after the pregnancy test.  I guess he figures that at that point if you are pregnant a flight isn't going to dislodge it.  The only restriction after bedrest is exercise.  He says no excercise until the pregnancy test and if positive no strenuous excercise for another month.  I am a runner so that is tough.  Especially watching my butt grow, but oh well.
As for missing the follicle, he said and I have read that they can't always get them all since they are not all visible by u/s.  Supposedly cysts are common after a cycle.  I wish I would have known that earlier so I could have had an u/s after the first cycle failed.

What???  You are flying so soon after your transfer?  I was supposed to fly back East in 2 weeks from now and the RE said he would rather I didn't.  hmmm.

Did they say how they missed that follicle?  Does that happen often?  Now I am wondering about my follys.  I have pressure STILL on my right side.  Your cyst should be gone soon and you will get back into the cycle of things.  Shots and all.  8-)

It does get boring.  I remember thinking that I complain all the time about having to work so much, but after a couple of days at home doing nothing I want to climb the walls. :) Do you have any books to read. I think I went through one a day.  Enjoy your salad.

I just have a follicular cyst.  It is a follicle left over from the last IVF cycle that they didn't get so it kept growing.  The first u/s I had since my ET in early May was 7/13, the day before I was supposed to start my stim meds for this next cycle.  I had already been on bcp for a month so I guess he assumed that any follicles I had left over would have shrunk.  But I have a stubborn one.

My beta will be 9/10.  He does them 9 days after the transfer.  I have to get my test done and then get a plane for business to the east coast so I won't find out until the next day.  That is going to be tough.

I'm bored.  I had a friend come by earlier to grab something for me to eat from the fridge.  She brought a movie but it's not very good.  I don't even know what it's called.  My next visitor comes in an hour with a salad.  The RE doesn't want me talking much so visitors stay only an hour.  What kind of cyst do you have?  Why didn't they put you on lupron earlier?  8/17 is right around the corner, & your er is in no time at all.  I'll be thinking of you.  Before you know it you'll be reporting a BFP.  Sept 17th will be your beta!!!

I start Lupron on Friday to make sure this darn cyst goes away.  Then I start stimulation meds on 8/17, retrieval on 8/27, and transfer on 9/1.
How is bedrest?  Only one more day.

Can I just tell you how much I enjoy hearing from you ladies!!!  It really cheers me up and keeps me smiling!  I found a great channel on TV that continuously plays spa music.  I love it...it's so relaxing.  I have lit a candle and about to read every gossip magazine.
Oh, my re inserted a progesterine suppository after the transfer.  Did you experience that?
I love PUPO!!!!!  I am so adopting that to keep me positive!  Thanks, Baby!!!
SDScientist:  Labor Day is right around the corner!!!!  When do you start progestorone and all the other fun stuff??

We had 9 embryos and only three made it-2 transferred and 1 frozen.  I was surprised, but most of my friends didn't have any make it besides the ones transferred.  I think this is fairly common.
Your DH's nana is probably spoiling you good. :)  My mom took care of me and I loved it.  My next transfer is over labor day weekend when my husband could take care of me, but I trying to get my mom to come down anyway.  I do not remember being gassy, but it is possible that I blocked that out.  :)

Tell those little embies to stick like crazy! I didn't have anything to freeze from two cycles, either.

The gas started after retrieval and hasn't let up for me since then! I can even clear the room of my cats! Now that is bad! :-)

You are PUPO--pregnant until PROVEN otherwise, my dear!

THANKS!!!!  I will definitely keep everyone posted.

SDScientist:
DH had to go to work. 8-(
DH's nana is here and taking good care of me.
I'm so gassy... is this normal??
I spoke to the embriologist and none of the others made it so nothing could be frozen.  I hope these little guys make it!!! I'm trying to stay positive!!!!

How are you?  According to my dr, implanation will occur within 72 hours of the transfer.  I really don't think you want the cramping.  The acupuncture is probably what is keeping that away.  At least that is one of the goals of it.  Enjoy your bedrest.  Did you get your hubby to stay home and wait on you hand and foot?  :)

Good luck with your tww !! I wish you a big fat bfp ! I think they don't usually implant on the first 2-3 days,it can take 3 to 10 days. Just finished an ivf cycle, wasn't feeling anything for 3 days than IT started and lasted for 6-7 days:mild cramping,''heavy  belly sensation'',wanting to lie down most of the time, then on day 8 i had some very dark old blood and it stopped. My beta was positive.SSBD!

llenda, pl is progesterone level

Does anyone know how long it takes for them to imbed?  Could this process have already started?  I am trying to lie as still as possible.  I'm actually typing w/ one finger.  When is cramping supposed to start.  I don't feel anything except hungry.
Thanks for all the ssbd thoughts!!!
