hello ladies! wierd situation....

my niece is 18yo and had her last normal period 2/10 and some spotting around 3/10 (nothing since). she has had several positive pregnancy tests, a couple of them at clinics. anyway, last friday we went to what was suppose to be her first u/s at 9 1/2 weeks. they were unable to find anything in the uterus so she then had serial hcg blood draws in, which both were negative. she has always had 28 day normal cycles. the wierd thing is that yesterday after recieving the lab results we bought a hpt and it was still positive? she has a follow up appt with md tommorrow, but has anyone ever heard of that??

Weird that you bring that up because I  had a few pregnancy test done at home, positive no period my doc check my blood for hcg came out negative with my progesterone level extremely high like im pregnant I have to go back tomorrow to retest... But I am sooo dissapointed because I really wanted this pregnancy. By the way I took a home test again to day and still positive..What is going on!!!

It could be a lab error- her demographic info on another sample kind of thing.  Tell them to re-test but tell her to keep acting as though she is pregnant until the whole thing is sorted out to be safe.
