help help anticardiolipin????

So my docs nurse just called and said my Anticardiolipin factor A and factor M is high....  the doc is not in tell me what this means and wont be in until middle of the week.    


Has anyone ever heard of that?

Please help, what does this mean????

not 100 percent sure but I think it has to do with your clotting factor, It is linked with multiple M/c have you had any M/c

Yes!!!!   I know it has something to do with my clotting.  I have had two m/c


I am so scared now,  is this something that can be fixed, like they give me some meds and poof all better?????

I am 1 DPO and may very well be preggo, i had thoght it was all coincidence until now,  is my body killing my babies??

Do you know what they do to treat clotting disorders, is there any fix??

Hi have high anticardio lipid antibodies ...There is controversial methods on how to treat.   But it's treatable.  


Start taking a baby aspiring daily.   You're doc might put you on daily heparin.  What happens is you blood forms clots and the clots interfere with the baby geting nourishment from placenta.  The baby starves and then your body miscarries.   This usually happens in the 2nd trimester.  

I've gotten info from one doc to start with heparin when I found out I was pregnant, but another said 8 wks.

Start taking a baby aspirin everyday right now!

I found out after having a m/c (10/06) that I have a clotting issue. I am about 12 weeks pregnant and taking 2 injections of lovenox (40mg) daily (a low-dose blood thinner but I don't think it crosses over the placenta) and a baby aspirin daily. I have been taking the injections since finding out I was pregnant in February. So far things are going pretty good with the pregnancy.

It scared me to death to hear about that problem from my docs nurse and then for her to say,  "oh well the doctor isnt here right now to explain it to you so you will have to wait a couple of days"    grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
