high progesterone cd21

hi, i just got my blood test results and they seem very high!

back in 0ct 07 i went to the doc after a 14mths of ttc. He arranged progesterone level tests on cd21 for a few months.
cd21 i was between 1/5 each time, so he arranged for a re test on cd28 and the levels got to 24/26 which i was told was borderline ovulating.

the 1st clomid cycle in may my progesterone level got to 56! so i was well pleased.

i was concerned about ovulating and my LP phase so i returned to my gp/nurse for cd21 tests in aug and sept as i wasnt being monitored on clomid.

19/8/08 (4th clomd cycle) progesterone was 1!!!! (although this was cd14- i was going on holiday the next day)

24/09/08(5th clomid cycle)progesterone was 100!!!!(cd21)

i am now a little worried this is too high and i am at risk of overstimulation of the ovaries!!

has anyone got any knowledge or experiance of this?
i am symptom spotting like crazy and about to end up being sectioned!

thanks so much for your reply

i realised the cd14 test was useless on my return from holiday! i wont to that again - had terrible track marks on my arms the whole holiday as i dont give up my blood very easily!

im going to see a nurse who works in the fertility clinic later today and i will ask her about the progesterone level

good luck to you in your 2ww! thinking of you

Wow! 100 is high! You must have released several eggs this month!

As for 24/26 being borderline...it's not. Anything over 15 in a medicated cycle is considered a good progesterone level.

...and the 1 on CD14 was probably taken before ovulation, and that's why the number was low. Progesterone only goes up after the egg has been released.

Best of luck to you!
