happend in january this year and it was a very devastating time for myself and my husband after a few months of coming to terms with our loss we have decided to try again.
we have been unsuccessful the last couple of months and i'm starting to wondering if i'm not ovulating. I was using the ovulating kits and never got a positive at all.
Can it take you a while to start ovulating after a miscarriage
WOW, I'm so sorry for your loss :( I've had 3 mc's myself 6.5 7 & 11 weeks, I can't even imagine what the pain would be to loose a bb @ 19 weeks.
As far as not ovulating, you really should be by now. Have you gone to your OB or RE to ask about this? I I were you, I would ask to get monitored via US & bloodwork (not on meds) to confirm ovulation. I think most women don't really know, or don't feel ovulation, & OPK's I don't think are 100% for sure either, it's just a guide line.
Being that you were so far along, I bet your insides really needed a break, so maybe your body is/was not ready for another pregnancy.
I'm guessing you got a DnC too???
Hang in there, but I would FOR SURE get monitored, I think most insurances cover that, unless you go to an RE, but your OB can do the same.
thanks for your reply the pain was unbearable but i'm getting there now its such a horrible thing you must be one strong cookie to cope with 3 miscarriages
.
It wasn't a d & c i got i had to give birth to my baby it was a boy.
Ive been to my doctor and all he done was put me on folic acid and because my miscarriage was just unfortunate and no known cause for it , he doesn't see why i wouldn't be able to get pregnant again and carry it to full term.
I'll just need to be patient and let nature do it's work easier said than done but hopefully it'll happen :)
I am very sorry for your loss. Having had 3 miscarriages I understand how davestating it is.
The first thing I would suggest is to make sure your hormones (HCG) is back to zero. Although a few months has passed it is possible that there is still some lleft in your system(this happened to me during my last miscarriage). eventhough I miscarried very early on, some how it took 3 months for the HCG to drop to zero.
It is also quite possible that you are not ovulating. I believe that is detectable by a simple blood test or couple of ultrasounds around the time of ovulation. Do you have regular periods? one of the signs of anovulation is irregular periods.
All that being said, it does take a while for a completely healthy couple to fall pregnant. So, in the mean time that you are proactive about finding out if anything is wrong, keep in mind that since you are young and have been pregnant before, there is a good chance that you will get pregnant on your own again.
Thanks for your reply so sorry for your losses its so horrible
I'm having regular periods it's just the waiting can be so frustrating but i'm trying to stay as stress free as possible and trying not to let fear get in the way.
