how many cycles should i wait to have another IVF procedure?

i got pregnant thru IVF, and just lost my twins @ 22 weeks last 02-13-08. i still have two embryos frozened. how many cycles should i wait to have my FET? what should i do to prevent pre term labor?is there any vitamins that i can take to prevent pre term labor before i undergo my next FET?

so sorry to hear about your loss. that has to be beyond devastating. My sister went pre-term with her first so for her second baby, they took all precautions. She got weekly shot - not sure what the shots were tho. She carried the 2nd one to full term. Since they know you were pre-term for your past pregnancy, they will make sure they do all they can for your 2nd pregnancy. good luck!

I did a 3 embryo transfer and I have a historyof preterm labor.  At 13 weeks I had a cervical cerclage placed to help with my incompentent cervix and I get weekly progesterone shots to help with it as well.  I spent a week in the hospital at 24 weeks for the steriod shots to help her lungs develop and I am currently at home on bedrest but I am 28 weeks now... You drs will monitor you for preterm labor .... good luck!

So sorry to hear of your loss. I have had 2 embies tranferred today and am a little concerned over the higher risks of preterm labour - has the dr given any reasons? Would u do 2 embies again?

I m/c at 6 weeks and I got on the pill asap, doctors request.  We did another IVF the next month.  I think it also depends on your uterus lining, and your HCG level has to be back to 0.  Unfortunately I m/c the next one due to egg quality.  Ask your doctor about taking a baby aspirin a day to help with the blood flow to the uterus.  Did your doctor have any reasons why you m/c? elizabeth
