husband low fertility

Just found out after 7 months of trying for a baby his swimmers are below average it's already been a stressful time I hav. Now resolved myself to the fact we won't be having a baby and want to move on with our lives but my husband will not accept this and says we are still sticking to all the appointments and carrying on with it all but it's too distressing is this selfish of me to just say enough is enough

I took Clomid for months and nothing. Then my husband and I went to a fertility Dr. And did an iui just on the 10th of October and I just found out I'm pregnant. My husband also had a little bit of a low sperm count, but with the iui they do something with the sperm called the washing stage which boosts it way up!! I would highly recommend talking with a Dr about it. Good luck with everything!

Talk to your doc abt Clomid for men.  Yes.  Men can take Clomid too.  Base on my experience.  You see.  My husband had a reversal vasectomy.  Surgery was a success but count and motility was bad.  Like low sperm count and zero motility.  He was first prescribed to take Clomid  50 mg everyday.  But it was effecting his libido n still not a good count.  Alter the meds to every other day 25 mg.  Took a few mths and he got to a normal range.  We are still tryibg for a baby.  Dont give up.  Hv you given a thought abt IVF?

Only you know what is best for you.  Infertility or low fertility can be extremely stressful.  Are you seeing a fertility specialist?  If not, you might consider seeing one....I know quite a few people that were able to still get pregnant with their partner's lack of sperm mobility problems.  There might be medicine that they can prescribe.

Good luck and Keep us posted! :)
