has anyone used femara? if so did it work, what were the side effects

I used femara when clomid didn't work for me.  I used it with 4 IUI's.  The first 3 were failed, but the last one worked and we are now almost 11 weeks.  I didn't have any side effects from the femara, where as with the clomid I think I had every possible side effect.  I liked it much better than clomid.  Good luck!

I am on femara now.  This is my second cycle on it.  I am having my first IUI tomorrow.  It only made me produce one follicle and I have to have the HCG trigger to ovulate (but that was the same when I took clomid, which I took for about 6 cycles).  I have had no side effects from the femara.  I'm really hoping it works for me this cycle.

It all depends I took femara one cycle with injectable (ovidrel) & an iui & worked on the first try.  I'm 5 weeks & 3 days today. Clomid works but not for everyone clomid often thickens the cervical mucus which makes it hard for the sperm to swim to contect to the egg. I was taking tussin as well my last cycle of clomid but it didn't work.  I had 6 cycles of clomid three solo & three with iui's.  I wish you the best of luck.

I took Femara for the first time this cycle and did not have any bad side effects- just slight headache every day and very sleepy after i took it (glad I took it at night).  Nothing crazy though.
