Hello! An IUI is really simple procedure, i've had two of them and about to have my third next week.. and it helps a lot of women get pregnant! Your dh will just "do his thing" in a cup and you take it in to the clinic and then about an hour and a half or two hours later you go back to have your IUI (they wash his sperm, take out all of the bad swimmers
thru, but even then i had no discomfort at all (besides the fact that your in that position and someone is down there in the fisrt place of course!) then they typically have you lay there 10 minutes before getting up and going back to your normal activities... most people say you can go back to work or "normal" life except no hot tubs...then you can have intercourse
as soon as that night for "insurance"
Lots of clinics, including mine, like to monitor your follicles before IUI and make sure that your developing good follies and then lots also give "trigger" shots of hcg to ensure ovulation within 36 hours after the shot that way they can time the IUI better and have more success..
GOOD LUCK! keep us updated! : )
Mine is just about the same as above, except I've been doing IUI's since last Sept. I had one done in March 2006 and got p/g the first time. Some woman expecience cramping almost right after the IUI. It can be mild or a little moderate. But it's all worth it!! What mg of Clomid are you on?
