late period - please don't ignore my question

I am really concerned about being late and I am scared that my cycle got messed up because of IFG. I posted a while ago and no resps for now, can you girls be kind enough to tell me what you think - this is important to me.

I have a question - I haven't been charting this month. My IVF transfer was in the mid of July and it failed. I got my period at the end of that month. This is the 2nd cycle now and no sign of AF yet. No spotting. During my first IVF I spotted for 3 cycles after the tranfer. This is the day 28th and nothing. I didn't keep track this month and don't even know when I ovulated. I am just afraid that my cycle got messed up and I didn't ovulate this month. I always spott before period and my breast is usually very sore - this time, little bit of cramping, upset stomach, tender but not sore breast, and headaches. Do you guys think that my cycle got messed up and maybe I didn't ovulate. Although I had an eggwhite CM at the begging of my cycle and then my skin broke down like crazy. Now instead of spotting my CM is still there and it is creamy. Did anyone experience anything like that - should I be concerned about my cycle - PG crossed my mind, but somehow, with 2 failed IVFs - it would be hard to believe.

Funny you should ask about ovulation.  I went to my RE this evening and I had asked if I oed yet b/c I had some serious CM the past few days but said he couldn't tell.  Hmmm.  I thought with a u/s he would be able to tell.  Anyway he said it is often that woman will o late after a failed IVF cycle.
I'd test just to know!  Then call your RE and let them know what is going on with AF and spotting.

LET US KNOW AFTER YOU TEST!!!!!  SSBD!

I'm glad you asked this question!  I had a failed Ist IVF cycle in early August and got my period the day after stopping the prog. shots.  I'm in my second cycle now and during the time I would have been ovulating (should have used a kit to track, but didn't) I had cramps--  I thought my period was coming early as it had done the month right before IVF.  The cramps are gone now and I'm only on day 21, but I was wondering what all the meds can do to you as well.  I hope you are feeling better.  I would take a pregnancy test-- crazier things have been known to happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Keep us posted.

After my 1st failed transfer  I was late in getting my period, but the second failed I started accupunture and I got it on day 33. Before my IVF cycles I was about 33-35 days. I forgot the reasons for taking Lupron but I believe that would affect the cycle. You may be stressed but not realize it as much. Maybe your doc can do some lab work.

I don't know much about IVF so I can't contribute much.  Didn't want you to think we were ignoring you.  But I hope you test and find out some good news!!

Good luck!

Thank you girls - I didn't take any bcps - only lupron to supress ovulation - does that make any difference? My period came earlier last time my IVF failed.

I would say to test too.  It is possible.  If it is negative call your doctor.  They may be able to do some bloodwork on you tell you what is going on.  Also, the cycle after my failed IVF before I went back on bcps, was around 32 or 33 days.  My RE said it is common to have a longer than normal cycle after an IVF failure.
