does the length of your period affect the time you ovulate? it has been 14 days past the first day of my last period ( I bled for 9 days!) and i still haven't ovulated is that normal? all the calenders say this is my most feral day but i still haven't got a + on my ovulation tests? before i had my first son i never ovulated so i just want to make sure everything went back to normal after my miscarriage
i have never had regular cycles unless I'm on birth control but after I had my son they came back normal i got pregnant in 3 weeks! but unfortnally i miscarried in march ok got a d and c on 3-5-08 had a period on 4-11-08 then had a period on 5-6-08 so they are all different it is hard to go off anything so are you saying today probably was the first day i could ovulate? so i should just chill
I agree with waitn... Your cycle length determines when you ovulate. The first part of your cycle can even vary from month to month, but the second part (after O) stays about the same every cycle...usually about 14 days. The ovulation calendars are not always that accurate, because many of them assume you have a 28-day cycle, with ovulation on day 14, but that's not always the case.
thanks i guess i'll just wait and take more ovulation tests for a few more days that is acueally good news my hubby has been out of town for two days so im glad to know it could still be coming and i didn't miss it!!! thanks i have my fingers
- this can give you the best representation of when you ovulate. When a temp rise occurs, you can be sure you ovulated just before that (the day before or so). Unfortunately, this method can only be used to pinpoint when you have ovulated - by the time you temp rises you are no longer fertile. But it's a great way to find out what CD you usually ovulate on, and to see that you are ovlating.
And you don't get AF EXACTLY 14 days after ovulation, a females
lutual phase can vary anywhere between 10 and 16 days (although 10 is pretty short). You need to determine what your own individual lutual phase is.
Join the site www.fertilityfriend.com. It analyses all your signs to pinpoint ovulation. The first time I started taking and charting my temperatures I became pregnant.
PS...I ovulated on CD 19, so you have nothing to worry about. I never ovulate exactly 14 days after the first day of my period, it's always a few days after that.
