low motility

my husband and i have been trying to concieve (conceive) for 5 years , we had a child together 14 years ago and then 5 years ago decided the time was right to try for another.I had 6 months on clomid nothing happened and my husband has had 2 sperm tests the last results i have say ?
immortile - 75%
raid - 2%
no progressive - 10%

I no this means he has low motility but i,m now left in the dark as the hospital have signed me of with unexplained fertility and gave me forms for ivf does this mean we will never have childern again without help ?

Hey!! It doesn't mean that u'll never have a chidren... u guys might be in need of supplements.. thats it...
even me n my BF have been TTC f or 6 years.... same here as ur's motility- the major reason...my BF is taking proxeed under his uro's prescription!!!
My best suggestion would be don't lose faith and try to meet infertility specialist for u'r hubby and get help in ways to increasing motility.. u need to wait couple of months for the results.. if it comes out good then u might be the luckiest else nooo issues at all try IVF as a final key..
Good Luck for you!!!!!!!!!

Hi huni, just wanted to say hi and please dont lose hope. It does not mean that you wont ever have a child naturally.  We have been ttc for 6 years. My hubby has poor motility too and i have severe endometriosis which makes ttc more difficult. We were told by fertility specialists that we would never conceive naturally and we proved them wrong in 2009. Sadly i did miscarry at 10 weeks but it did happen without help. Your hubby may need to take supplements to help his sperm, my hubby takes fertility plus for men ( which contains zinc, l-carnitine, l-arginine, co-enzyme Q10 among other things which are important for male fertility), EPA (fish oil - omega 3) and vitamin C.  These were recommended by a nutritional therapist who has 25 years specializing in fertility.
Good luck huni, if you need to chat just give me a shout.

E xx
