low sperm count

If you treat someone who has a low sperm count with a mass dose of testosterone what would be the result and why?

I would learn more as to why the count is low b4 attempting something like that. If you had one s/a and it came back with a low #, the test should be re-run. Most drs run 2-3 separate s/a's b4 giving a diagnosis. Knowing the cause is the best place to start. If it is genetic, there isn't much that can be done. Also, count isn't the most important factor. Motility and morphology are just as, if not more important. Here are some links that may help.

I would definatly get more info on why your count is low. My DH took Clomid to increase his SA and it actually did the opposite. I read some where that if other hormones (not sure which ones) are normal testosterone can actually act as a birth control for men. So be careful. My DH's count went from any where between 15-20 million to 2 million after taking clomid for 6 weeks. Good luck :)
