low sperm

well i was so excited doing follistim this month responded well, went for iui on sept 12, what a slap in face, we knew my dh had a low low sperm count but we have conceived naturally with our first child after 2yrs, this time it has been 3yrs. we tried clomid no help , so we went the shot and iui route, and dh has been on clomid. his count sunday was only 236,000 should be over 2 million, so they said we were wasting our money even gave us check back til we see if positive. said she has seen it happen with that low of a count but thinks we are throwing money away said ivf was the best thing. we cant pay 9,000. so thats not even an option. we have ordered fertiltiy blend they said to try that with clomid and go to urologist (which we did 10yrs ago). very disappointed and upset at this point. has this happened to any one and what all have you done. dh is trying to be so positive, i want to be so bad but i have been praying so hard

Hi,
Sorry sorry to hear all that happening to you.  I found this on google the other day when i was worried my hubby might have a problem too!  turns out he is all good.  Just thought I would pass it along to you and maybe it will help.

10 Ways you can Increase Your Sperm Count

1. Have sex & masturbate less often - the more times you ejaculate, the less dense your semen will be. Maintain a gap of 3 days between two consecutive ejaculations.

2. Refrain from habits like smoking, alcohol consumption etc. - Alcohol affects your liver function, which, in turn, causes a dramatic rise in estrogen levels. Even two drinks a day will have long-term effects on sperm production

3. Exercise regularly.Exercising your PC muscle can help you shoot further than ever before.

4. Eat Nutritious Food - Diet that's low in fat, and high in protein, vegetables, and whole grains is good for your health and for your sperm. Avoid bitter, astringent and spicy foods.Reduce caffeine intake

5. Avoid heating of testicles - Wear loose, cotton boxer shorts, Avoid hot baths and saunas

6. Lose any excess weight, which tends to cause testosterone/oestrogen imbalances.

7. Reduce stress levels by learning relaxation techniques - Keep your mind and body healthy by regular practice of YOGA and MEDITATION.

8. Massage body with herbal oil, which improves blood circulation.

9. Try supplements - Certain natural supplements promise to increase sperm production. Checkout some Natural and Herbal, no side effects supplements

10. Make love in the early morning or afternoon. Sperm levels are often highest in the mornings.

Hi,
Sorry to hear and I understand your frustration. My wife and I had the same story. I felt real bad with what she would have to go through because of my low sperm count. I decided to try Vitamale. I bought it in Naturules.com, took 2 tablets 3 times a day for 3 months. My count went from 7.8 million/ml to 41. My wife is now 9 weeks pregnant.
Hope that helps and good luck.

Gil.

My Husband had very low count as well. He went on 100mg of Chlomid 3 times a week and also was told to ejaculate every other day. This caused his sperm to continue to reproduce so often it began to normalize. He went from 2million at time of IUI to over 10million! We are still trying. Just had our 3rd IUI and find out if it worked next Friday! Good luck! Hope it helps!!
