male infertility - white blood cells found in semen

We are seeing a RE for infertility.  They have found a large amount of white blood cells in my husband's semen.  He was on antibiotics for three weeks and they were still there.  He now is going to see a urologist.  Does anymore know anythinga bout this condition?  What do we need to ask/tell the urologist?  Some internet research has led me to prostatitus.  Does anyone know anything about this condition?

I wish I had some info for you, sorry. From what I was told when dh had his s/a if white cells were found(they weren't)antibotics should clear up. Sorry again.

My husband is dealing with the same thing.  We have been on cirpo for 1 month twice a day. That didn't help.  We just got off cipro once a day for 6 weeks.  We don't know the results yet because the doctor ordered a prostate massage that happens next week.  The doctor is telling us prostatitis but he has no symptoms of prostatitis.  Which isn't uncommon.  I can't seem to find anything on the internet that gives us a clear solution.  I guess we sit waiting to see if the prostate massage will help.  Keep me updated as I would like to know what the doctor tells you.  We are lost on the condition as well.....Frustrating to say the least.  If he is diagnosed with prostatitis and the only way we found out is because we can't get pregnant.  Do we still need to be classified as "infertile".  Seems to me this prostatitis isn't uncommon.  The s/a are $100 a pop.  It kills me to waste money to get the same results.
