I just started menopur and noticed tonight that I was exhausted!  At 8:30, I was falling asleep while we were finishing dinner.  I was glad to hear that it seems common (saw your post and some others).  Hopefully it will work well and I won't have to take it for more than a few cycles. My doctor seems very positive.

My retrieval was 5/5 and we did a Day 5 blast (excellent status) on 5/10.  So - I'm in my 2ww right now.  I did my meds subcutaneously.  And - actually - I mixed the Bravelle and the Menopur into 1 injection.  Did your doc tell you to do that?  When will you start your meds?

I did the Bravelle / Menopur combination with this IVF cycle.  I started these meds on Day 3 of my cycle.  And then I started Ganirelix on the 5th day of injections.  My side effects were the same as the other girls - I was really tired and a little moody.  But it wasn't bad.  And for the record, I had better results with these meds than with Gonal-F - but I know that varies with each person.

I am also taking Menopur.  I have to say that the injections were much easier to take than I thought they were going to be.  I also had the side effect of being exhausted.  I was on the Menopur / gonal F combo.  I also have pressure in my abdomen from all the follicles that I have produced.

I used ganirelix and did not have any s/e.  It was used to prevent my LH surge because I had a follicle that was growing faster than the other follicles and RE was afraid I would just release that one.  I took it on cd6, cd7, and cd8.  I don't think there is a specific time when you take it.  It depends on you.  Ganirelix was pre-filled, so all I had to do was inject it into my stomach.  No pain at all!

i used menopur and ganirelix for my 1st IVF cycle and had no side effects . I had a total of 7 eggs and all fertilized. it is said though that , you might feel sleepy , tired and bloated as the eggs grow inside.i started the injection after being on BCP for a month so not sure what the answer is.
