I do have occassional nausea from the Metformin. It was worse when I first started taking it but I do have it now from time to time and it's definitely from that.
I'll have to try taking it later cause it's killing me I've never had such aweful heart burn.
I am on 5mg of prednisone. I take it at night with dinner and have had no side effects.
I take 10mg prednisone one night and 7.5 the next and in 2 weeks can lower the dosage. It does cause heartburn! It's because it can upset the stomach lining, so my Dr advised taking it at night since your sleeping anyway it shouldn't really bother you, at least not as much as in would during the day. You may still have heartburn but not as bad, don't forget to eat something before you take it, that might help. Keep crackers handy and tums! Ask your Dr about something for the hearburn, I was taking prilosec now it's nexium, can't hurt! Hope you feel better!!
I willl start taking it at bed time because it's killing me and it's causing me to have horendious heart burn. I'm taking 750 mg metformin and only 5 mg prednisone and 200 mg prometrium.
I take a high dose of prednisone and don't really have any problems with it and have been on it off and on for years, actually my Dr told me they use prednisone for infertility sometimes, but I'm on it for other reasons. It does cause stomach problems, and can cause nausea which I did have until my body adjusted to it. I take prilosec to counter it (don't you love taking more meds to counter act others?). I don't think it causes headaches though. But upset stomach is a big one and it makes you hungry I'd suggest you eat before you take it and if you take it before bed it's better because when your asleep the nausea won't bother you as much.
Metformin makes my bbs sore and swollen and gives me a slight headache, but only in the afternoon after i take it. I only take 500 mg compared to some who take 1000mg. When I was on 1000mg it gave me really bad double vision
