metformin without clomid

Has anyone taken metformin without also taking clomid and gotten pregnant??  I did not ovulate after three cycles of clomid (50, 100, 150mg) so the RE wanted to try metformin alone.  How long does it take to regulate your cycle on metformin.  Please any info about metformin would be great!

I took Metformin for the first time this cycle.  I also took 50 mg clomid.  I had two big follies on day 10, so doc gave me the trigger and IUI.  I will know something by end of next week.  I have not tried Metformin without clomid yet.  I have thought about it though because I worry that side effects of the clomid could cause problems.

i did use met for 6 months prior combining with clomid...and i never ovulated once..the doctor started me off at 1000 a day and little by little i was at 2000 a day and still never ovulated..so he combined it with clomid..ive been on clomid for 4 rounds have ovulated at least 3 times..but i havent gotten preg. yet i just recently got an IUI the beggening of the month and i will find out next week if it worked out...but i have heard that some people will due fine just on met..but i dont mean to be rude if you dint ovulate on clomid its going to be hard just on met..talk to your doctor see if you can combine them..it will give you the best results!!
