has any1 tried metformin does it really help weight loss and stop excess facial hair? I wld love 2 hear from people taking it x x x

I take metformin (1800mg) and yes it has helped with weight loss...but of course it works better with a low carb & sugar diet (less s/e). As with the facial hair, I haven't noticed a change yet... I've only been taking it for a few months (also took it for 3-4 months in 2007 to help conceive my ds) so maybe you need to take it for awhile before you notice a change?
