I was told by my doctor to start TTC as soon as the coil was removed, no mention of possible dangers or side effects. Had planned on waiting for several periods to pass before begining but have ended up having unprotected sex several times and am wondering how relevant are these risks, ie thin uterus wall etc?

Hi I had my Marina coil removed on the 13th June. How long is it until I have a period? We are ttc and have had unprotected sex. But would like your views on when you had your first period after removal. I did not have any periods whilst I had the Marina and I had it in for about three years. Thanks

I was told you can get pg right after its removed. But it is best to wait a cycle to let your lining thicken......when mine was removed my period came right on time as scheduled. Every women is different though. I did start having a regular cycle a few months before mine was removed though.... so I knew when to expect it. Good Luck

Your HCG picked up at 6??? HOw many days past ovulation were you? Or how many days before your missed period was it

Like babyblue said  everyone is unique and on their own schedule.  In general you probably have to wait for all the synthetic hormones to get out of your body and then for your cycle to become natural.

Have your periods returned to normal.  Are u using an OPK to see if you get a positive LH surge???    Also must be doing timed intercourse.

Also in order for you to get a positive HCG (hormone on preganncy test) when the baby attaches to your lining.   SO your doctor's a moron if he thinks it didn't attach.   Once baby attaches to lining HCG is produced.  It's possible you could have had a "chemical pregnancy".   Which means egg fertilized, baby attached, but pregnancy didn't develop properly so the baby fizzed out.   Those HPT detect HCG at very low quantities  for example, mine picked up my HCG at 6 (FRER).   Good luck.
