miscarriage ?'s

So i'm possibly 5 weeks 1 day today (unless i miscarried last night) I have two questions.. I have been spotting for about 5 days.. and since i was concerned i went to my RE a couple of times during this spottting and light bleeding (i would occasionally have a cramp since we found out we were preg) my beta continued to double every 26-33 hours or so.. yesterday since the spotting was a little heavier and i was told my beta was continuing to double very well i thought we were ok.. until the heavy bleeding started.. mild cramps and it lasted a few hours.. now just spotting again..
but my questions are: does the beta typically start dropping before the actual miscarriage? i had my checked 6 or so hours before i think i miscarried and they were still looking good.. is this typical?
I never temp, becuase my schedule is crazy.. but this past week i've been temping (i am on progesterone) can a decrease in temp indicate mc.. or do you have to have a decrease in temp to miscarry? mine has consistently been 99.1 or 99.2 that did not change this morning..
i have an ultrasound scheduled monday morning.. but i feel crazy for continuing the progesterone right now becuase i'm sure with that much bleeding i miscarried.. but i will do it in case a true miracle happens.. anyhow.. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

i had a little more bleeding last night.. no cramping though with it, but it was much darker in color and mucusy.. is that normal for a mc or think that might be a good sign? haha. i'm trying to over analyze everything i know.. but its hard to sit here all weekend wandering if i'm still pregnant! strange! anyhow, anyones opinions greatly appreciated!!! tahnks!

Thank you all so very much! your replies mean so much to me!
rdh: i did not notice any obvious tissue (when i miscarried a BO at 9.5 weeks- i had a normal 9week placenta and i defintely noticed the placenta and the sac) but at 5 weeks everything is so small i wasn't sure if i would even be able to notice.. it was just a bunch of bright red blood, itty bitty clots maybe once or twice..  I know only time will tell, but man i'm sooo not patient and this whole ttc thing then complications defintely tests that character in me!

kikiocates: thanks! yea when i had my mc last year.. when i started to spot things started to drop.. my hyperemesis went away about 5 days before the miscarriage and so did my other symptoms.. so i'm hopgint thats a good sign as well.. but feel silly thinking anything could survive after last night at the same time! but i'm still PRAYING For that miracle!

i have an ultrasound monday morning.. if i repeated a beta this morning, it might not have told us too much (unless it was still increasing of course) but if it went down some.. that woulnd' t clarify if i lost one of two though.. so they figured  just wait it out.. blaaah!

Hi1 I hate to hear you are going through such greif! :( I thought I would let you know that when I miscarried last year my first beta (no bleeding) was 71 two days later 31 still no bleeding little brown discharge. that was on WED. I miscarried that FRI. So my number were going down rapidly b4 I miscarried, I don't know if all is the same, but my hopes are high for you since they are still doubling! When will you have another beta, since the heavy bleeding?

What ever you do, do not stop your progesterone treatment until you see your doctor.  There are many women who bleed during their pregnancy, I was one of them.

I left you a sticky note yesterday telling you about my situation.  I would recommend that you take it easy and stay off your feet until you see your doctor.

Did you happen to notice if you passed in tissue during the heavy bleeding. If not I would say chances might still be good that your baby is fine.

I am not sure about your temp, being that I am new to temp'ing myself, but being that it is still elevated I would assume is a good sign.

Try to get some rest until you see your doctor.  I wish I could be of more help, but sadly only time will tell.

I praying extra hard that this little bean sticks!!!!
