need advice

i had my tubes tied about 17 years ago i have been told that it will cost me 5000 to get them untied or i can try ivf for about 2000. i am unsure what to do.  i have 4 children from a previous relationship. i have been told there is a medical loan you can get. desperately need help as my time is running out. im 40.
