never able to have a baby?

never able to have a baby?

Okay I am posting here hoping you ladies can inform me since I know nothing about this stuff.  I am 20 years old and have one 3 year old son.  I had him when I was 16.  Before I had him my periods didnt always come on the same day but did come monthly.  After I had him they still were pretty normal but I didnt get one for about 8 months after he was born.  About 2 years ago I ended up in the ER with severe pain (worst than child birth)  due to cyst on my ovaries.  For the past year my periods are only coming about every 3 months.  In June we got pregnant and miscarried in august at 11 weeks.   I had to have a d&c and have not gotten my period back but have thought I was pregnant b/c I had 10 days of light pink discharge and ALL the pregnancy symptoms.  I had a blood test done friday and got the results back today I am not pregnant but I am having all the symptoms.  When i told them I was having all the symptoms they said that they wanted to send me for more blood work.  When I asked what for they said b/c they dont think I am ovulating.  They didnt say what the blood work was called but said it could take 7-10 days to get the results back.  Do you think I am not ovulating from something going wrong with the d&c or b/c of a hormonal imbalance?  Does this mean I wont be able to have any more babies?  What do they do for you if you are not ovulating?  Is there a drug that can help?  Will insurance cover treatment if needed?  Have any of you had something similar?  Sorry for all the questions but I just want to know all that I can.  Please tell me all you know.  Thanks

Don't say never.  as long as you still have your period, then you are still ovulate.  Just that you ovulate different time so it's hard to keep track.  The best way to do is buy OPK (Ovulation Predictor Kit) to test it. keep your body temperature. check your cervical mucus.  If ovulating, your mucus will turn to "egg raw" type.  clear and jelly just like uncook egg white.   There also drugs help you to ovulate.  Last Monday when I went to see my doctor for sonogram, they saw follicles, which mean there are eggs, but because my period is irregular so the doctor inject me last Thursday with Novarel to help me ovulate.  I did ovulate on Friday and hopefully i will conceive and pregnant.

There are limit for the insurance pay for those treatment.  I paid $50 for sonogram and $53 out of my pocket for Novarel injection and today I need to buy Prometrium for keeping the eggs implant into uterus.  These are very expensive.

You are only 20 years old.  still young to conceive.  Just keep your body healthy, eat good diet, take prenantal vitamin, folic acids, exercise.  You should be good to go..   Cysts might cause pregnancy complicated, but not stop you having a baby.

Good luck to you.

They blood work may show them your progesterone levels to see if you ovulate.  If you do not ovulate, Clomid is used to help you ovulate.  My particular  insurance covers NO infertility treatments...Every insurance is different in terms of coverage.

The Prometrium the insurance did cover.  I just brought the medicine and its cost me $16. insurance cover the rest.  so that a good news.  Clomid i heard its only $4 right now.  but the rest of them might be expensive.

Prometrium is progesterone help to keep the egg and your uterine lining thick so the egg can implant into the uterus wall.  I have to take 15 days before i have my HCG test.
