hcg isn't produced until the egg implants into the uterus. anyway i would call the doc and make sure your numbers are all the way down. i also stopped the progesterone and have not mc yet. hcg yesterday was 88. i am now having severe cramping and bright red bleeding on and off, so i'm sure it will be tonight sometime. did you pass any small clots that may have been products of conception? i have heard that someitmes it can take up to a week once baby dies to pass. i am soo sorry we are going through this right now..we were suppose to be pregnancy buddies :(

Hi- I had the same thing happen to me - I was about five weeks pregnant and one day started spotting light brown- had a blood test my hcg was 22. It was like having a really light period for a few days- not really even red blood and that was it- I got my period 38 days later. When you are early on in the pregnancy- it is almost like having a chemical pregnancy-  the HPT will give you a positive but the egg never implants into the uterus- therefore- it is kind of a non-event when it passes out of you... hope this helps.
