I am 36 years of age and got my tubes tied 5 years ago. I would like to have another baby with my boyfriend of 6 years who has no children. Is there any possible way of me getting pregnant that won't put me into bankruptcy?
ligation reversal or ivf. Unfortunately neither of these are cheap. You can check with your insurance to see if they cover fertility treatments. I am lucky that my insurance considers infertility
Hi, I had my tubes tied 15 years ago, my new DH has no children and decided after 9 years together it was time...I was 43 in may had ivf...bfn, had 7 to freeze, in July had fet, bfn, so we decided to try tubal
reversal and be more successful than me. We are still tring. The cost is from 5500.00 to 10000.00, it's all so expensive and insurance won't pay.
Good luck to you honey, I'm here if you need me.
Hugs,
Melanie

Hello I also had my tubes tied about 12 years ago. I opted for IVF since it had a better success rate than the tubal reversal. Plus there can be a lot more complications with a reversal that can make the price of $20k to go extremely high. So we went the IVF route...NEITHER is cheap. With IVF depending on the doctor you can try to get financing but it probably will be a minimum of $25k. However, there is a place on the east coast that a friend of mine is using they guarantee success of you get a refund. You get 6 tries. The down fall though is you use someone elses eggs. Not sure what they do if someone wanted to use their own. We had to do one round of IVF and 2 transfers. The first was negative and the 2nd transfer (less money) is positive.
You can use the refund program at your age and, I think you get the 6 fresh and unlimited frozen with your own eggs, yor still in the range, I don't see you having any problems with 1 round of ivf if your 36 and already had children with no fertility issues. I had done the ivf at your age I probably would be pg by now, good luck to you.

Check out Shady Grove, they have a good program
