ovarian drilling explained

Since no one ever knows what I am talking about when I mention ovarian drilling I thought I would explain, since that is not the medical term, it is just what my doctor called it.

It was a lap procedure that went through my belly button and two smaller incisions below.

Because of my PCOS my ovaries are covered with cysts. He went in an cauterized the cysts from both ovaries.

I know, it sounds very painful. But the theory is it is supposed to re-start my system. But the cysts will come back, he said they would probably be covered with them again within a year.

Ouch, so if I'm understanding correctly...that means you pretty much have to conceive within a year or start over again.

Yep that is what the drilling means.  For people with PCOS, that has done miracles!!!  Good luck to you if you are doing this procedure....
