overweight and trying to concieve(conceive) with a diabetic partner
Im 22 yrs old and so is my fiance', we are trying to concieve (conceive) but im obese and he has diabetites. I am on a diet and excercising, I've lost 10lbs so far and he is in great shape, but can his medical problem and of course me being over weight stop us from concieving? Also for futher information we dont smoke and we drink casually (less than a drink a week) and i started taking fertileaid about 6 days ago and my menstural comes regular now (28 days). i just dont want to wait until I am 160 lbs to have a child, I want one now and need to know if we have a chance.
Weight can be an issue sometimes, but if you are menstruating (and, therefore, ovulating) regularly, you may be ok as far as conception goes. However, it is definitely healthier for you AND your baby to lose weight before getting pregnant, especially if you're diabetic
I am in the same position as you...I am obese and trying to conceive. My husband has no medical conditions though. My doctor and OB/GYN both told me that being overweight can making trying to conceive much more difficult. I am not ovulating so my chances are much less than yours. As long as you are ovulating you should be able to get pregnant. How is the FertilAid doing for you? I just ordered some and will be on it as soon as it comes in the mail.
high blood sugar, Husband is not though. I'm on IVF program and now on my 2WW. I'm going to have my blood test tomorrow to conclude my 1st IVF try. All the best to me!!
