ovulating now or in 24 -36 hrs??

Iam trying to concieve (conceive),bought the ovulation kit and when the lh surge is positive it says that 24-36 hrs,does that mean you should wait 24-36 hrs or you should hve sex in any of that period of time??

You can have intercourse as soon as you want to.  While the egg is likely to be released sometime in the next 24-36 hours.  The sperm will live for a couple of days and will be present when the egg is released.

I also wanted to mention that while an OPK detects the LH surge.  A positive does not mean that you are gauranteed to ovulate....just that you are LIKELY To ovulate in the next 24-36 hours.  Charting BBT is a great way to determine if you are, in fact, ovulating and exactly when in your cycle you do.  Many women use a combination of OPK's and BBT charting to find their most fertile days.  Good luck!
