ovulation

So i started taking ovulation tests on thursday cycle day 11 it was negative so then i took one the next day it was negative again but the second  line was more visible so then i took another one yesterday and the test was most definatly a positive but took 1 today its gone back to being a faint line i read yesterday that the ovulation test show you 1 or 2 days before you ovulate? im confused now, is that why the line is faint just to show you that you are near? im new to all this ovulation checking but had been trying for 10 months

Its like doctors say you can't be pregnant and still have your period although my mum is living proof of that it happened on 4 of us me being one of them she still had her period for 4 months

Yeah it's crazy. I did a ton of research. I actually ovulated 2 weeks later than when I got my first lh surge and got pregnant the second time. We figured it out when I was 2 weeks less along than originally thought.keep testing. Thats why a lot of docs will say to have sex every other day or every 3ed day through your whole cycle so you don't miss it.

Thats mad i actually thought it just tells you when you ovulate so you might not actually ovulate? I'm gonna try another test later just to see incase it tries again and i miss it, thanks

The purpose of an ovulation test is to let you know when your body has an LH surge. This surge of hormone is usually your bodys way of gearing up to ovulate. Sometimes you can get a surge and then  for whatever reason.. Your body not actually ovulate.. And it will try again.
