If you have a normal 28-day cycle (or close to 28 days), ovulation usually takes place about two weeks after the first day of your last period. I wouldn't count on the withdrawal method, though, since sperm can live for several days inside of your reproductive tract, and the egg also lives for another day or so after released. Plus, unless you're monitoring your cycle, you won't know for sure exactly when you ovulate.
