painful intercourse on clomid?

Wow tonight was the first night I had ya know while on clomid. I am on day 10 of my cycle and feel like my ovary is about to burst! Then I well ya know and I was in the mood and all and it hurt. I made him go slow and still it hurt-after I am left with a burning sensation in my v. Geeze I have never had anything like this before! Anyone have any idea whats goin on here?

My 1st cycle of Clomid made sex very painful also.  That went away by my second round.  I think it's just swelling and aggravation of your ovaries, uterus and cervix.  It should settle soon. I didn't have the burning though.  That sounds more like a yeast infection.

Thanks for your reply. I thought it could be an infection too but I have no other symptoms of one. No abnormal discharge or anything. I am gonna keep an eye on it though. Have you ever heard of having a yeast infection w/no symptoms? Also I have only had one in my whole life and it was from antibiotics I took long time ago, does that make me prone to them? hmmm...i hope not--now I am worried. I am hopeful it is just the clomid!

I'm having one right now and the only symptom I have is extreme burning and pain.  I thought maybe I had a UTI.  But, I had IUI today and dr. told me I have a yeast infection and burning is a very common symptom.  Mine was caused by an allergic reaction to some dye I had during an HSG and the antibiotics I took for the procedure.  

It could be you are prone to them.  I would by an over the counter medicine like Monistate and eat lots of yogart.  Try to avoid sugar.  I hope it goes away and gets better!  Ironic that these meds that are to make it easier to concieve (conceive) are the very ones that make the process of concieving unpleasant.

Holy wow! the first and only yeast infect. I ever had in my life was after my HSG test too and they said same thing that antibiotics caused it. They also told me I had a reaction to the dye. Interesting. Anyways yeah I am feeling much better today-turns out the soreness lasted about 2hrs after sex and then this morning felt fine. I am still gonna ask doc cuz I am curious as to what this is. In the meantime I will eat yogurt avoid sugar too and pray its not a yeast infect. thanks for your help:)

i'm on the 4 rounds of Clomid. Hope that you don't need that much (since i never feel the bursting in ovary like you). But i did feel discomfort after bd due to the lack of lubrication. recently i used Preseed, and it helps.

You know I hate to be graphic but for me both months I took it it felt different like their wasn't as much room but no burning.  I felt like my follicles were enormous haha....hope you feel better...

Oh, Jennyfer mentioned preseed.  You should also be taking Robitussin or some other cold medicine that has Guifenison it it.  This helps thin your cm since Clomid can make your cm too thick.  Anyhow, it will get better!

Thanks for your responses. I will def. ask the doc about robotussin and using lube. I felt better this morning. I guess its just overly sensative right now lol. I feel better after reading this. Good luck to everyone!

It's definitely the clomid drying out your natural cervical mucous.  Use preseed or take robitusin/mucinex like was previosly mentioned/.
