pcos infertility

so I got diagnosed infertile due too pcos  which is very fustrating Im lucky bc Im thin still, but we havent had any luck Im only 24 so I still have plenty of time .. my hubby was tested hes good thank god but I still have alot of testing to do before we can find out if I can do IVF  the dr said if everything is ok and its only from the pcos then we'll start the ivf I dont kno how the process works but Im nervous and excited Ive had 2 false postives never been pregnant never anything hardly ever an AF  but they put me on Provera 10mg for 10 days any1 have any feed back on this ?

I have really bad PCOS where I don't get any periods either and had to do IVF.  We had a FET two years ago that resulted in a pregnancy and now I havea  16 month DS and now I just did another FET today so just know that it does work.

Question back at ya!  Why doesn't your doctor try fertility meds before doing IVF?  Just curious, because I also have PCOS, but have been ovulating on my own and just started clomid.  So I was just wondering why your doctor wouldn't try something simpler first.  It's good to hear other people's experiences!

I have PCOS too and Clomid worked for me for my first pregnancy. I didn't even have too many tests. My doctor told me to try with clomid and worked after 2 months.
For the second pregnancy I had to do IVF because I did't ovulate on clomid. .

i would enquire about using follicle stimualting hormone injections (FSH) along with the trigger shot (Ovidriel) and doing a iui before trying ivf, i have bad pcos and tried clomid, and didn't respond, moved onto fsh with trigger and iui and fell pregnant currently 18 weeks now

good luck look into other options before ivf

I had a clomid for 6 cycle resulted in a huge cyst and my stomach bloated I dunno that dr wasn't very thorough  so I dont wanna go through that again I have a whole new set of drs Im actually in a fertility clinic now I just had my hsg done and it looks like I have a fibroid or pollup in my uterus I guess I'm kinda bummed about it I go on the 27th to have a talk with my dr. about the findings but my tubes are great some good news I want the ivf bc of the program they have with it basically 1 fee and if no baby occurs I get 1005 refund so its my best option if I can even carry a child but Im glad to hear the rest of u guys had such good luck sorry I didnt post my whole experience to began with.

I also have pcos and when they checked my tubes they said they were good but has a pollup in my uterus also. Had to have a d&c done before I could ttc. Came back as cancer :0( they wanted to do a full hysto. I refused and talked to another dr. Did a treatment for 3 months to shed the cancer cells and it worked. Tried the clomid and didn't work after 3 mo so went to injectables with trigger shot then an iui and now I'm amlost 7 weeks pregnant. So don't give up and I wish you the best of luck.

how old are u ? and whats treatments did u have ?

I was 28. They put me on a high dose of megace. Very high progesterone pill.  It's the same med they give people that have other forms of cancer to make them eat. It sucked since with pcos it's hard to lose weight and you are always hungry. But it worked and that's all that mattered to us.

awesome I happy it worked for u. I got the call from the dr. and he said its nothing to worry about . the nurse over exaggerated which scared me so my fingers are crossed the all the fertility loans go threw for us to start this .

Thanks. That's great news for you also. I will pray it all works out for you also. And if loans don't go through then ask the dr to help you out.
