Going in for my first transfer tommorow and need some inspiration. An sucess stories out there? We are doing IVF/ICSI at shady grove. How many tries did it take?
I can totally understand how you feel right now. I was there too. After trying naturally, then clomid, then IUI, I and my husband decided to go for IVF. There were 22 eggs retrieved, 13 fertilized, 8 grew to be blasts. I had 1 blast embryo
right after that. It turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. Then decided to take a break during which I had accupuncture treatments. After about 2.5 months of treatment, we transfered 2 embryoes, both implanted. My twins are 7wks old now. I have 3 embryoes left. Some women in this forum got pregnant the first try. Good luck to you. Are you doing 3 day transfer or blasts?
One of those women Tima is talking about is me :o)
We tried naturally, then with clomid and other fertility meds, and then bypassed IUI and went straight to IVF. We were cancelled several times from retrevial/transfer due to blood work being off, not enough follicles
, etc. BUT, when all the numbers were aligned, and we did the retreival, then transfer, I got a BFP! It was our first try - and to tell you the truth, all the HPTs showed BFN, but HCG was BFP - DD is now 21 months old!!!
I hope to be a success story-so far so good, I'm 12 weeks pregnant with a singleton. We also tried naturally and then tried IUI a couple of times. Moved on to IVF, and the first try didn't work. The second try I got pregnant but miscarried. The third try, here I am. We did 3-day transfers on each attempt. The first time we transferred 2, the second time we transferred 3, and this time we transferred 4 (getting a little braver each time).
Good luck, it can and does work!
? And did yall do regular IVF or ICSI... thats so wonderful to hear success stories, it seems like such a tough process to go through, and looks like we are about to be heading there, so i'm nervous!
We tired for 6 years.. IUI etc etc etc. The first time we tried IVF/ICSI we got pregnant. He is now 2 and we just did a cycle of FET, Low HCG so alittle concerned but we will see! Good luck its worth it!
im so nervous, i go in to my first IVF in May. been trying for 2 and a half years and then last Nov found out i have PCOS. clomid and IUI didnt work. i am praying and hoping and crossing everything that i am a first time success story as well!! i hope its more common
GOOD LUck to all of you going through the IVF process!!! keep me updated and I hope that the first one is the charm!!! I'm so glad to see success stories and hope that we can become one too! Its all so scary!
I have started my first cycle of ivf. I am on day 4 of my cycle and currently taking clomid for 5 days twice a day 50mg each and will be starting the injectables on cycle day 6. I am also hoping and praying that the first time is a charm. My next appt is on Saturday for more bloodwork and a u/s.
I will keep you all posted!!!
Adnd good luck and lots of baby dust to all my ttc gals!!!!!!!!
Had implantation today. We decided to transfer 2 blasts. They will call in a few days to let me know if any embryos were frozen. Keeping my hopes up for preg test on may 5th. Hang in there ladies
Good luck to everyone with their ivf cycles! Praying for lots of BFPs!
I got pregnant on my second cycle of ivf/icsi, the first cycle none of our embryos made it to transfer but the second cycle we transferred 2 and one stuck :) I'm due in October.
Did any of you ladies have frozen embryos after ivf? We were bummed that we only had 1 since i had 23 eggs. They kept telling up how great 12 of them looked at day 3 and then we ended up doing a day 5 with 2 blasts. We found out on day 8 that only 1 made it to freezing. Still keeping my fingers crossed for preg test next week
Unfortunately we didn't have any embryos left to freeze, but I think the criteria for freezing are quite strict at our clinic. I think they want to make sure that they have a good chance of surviving the thawing procedure.
