hey yeahah i just got the prune juice my mom actually told me about it and it worked i finally went...what a relief!! thank you everyone!!
I've learned from my first pregnancy and my Dr use to tell me to drink prune juice because it's natural. I know it's not everyones preference of drink but it is natural and it does work!
Fresh fruit helps. My mom eats it for breakfast every day and said it's done wonders. There are some yogurts that have extra fiber or that have extra bacteria in the yogurt that is supposed to help with digestive system... Good luck! I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow and have been doing okay...
Diva_Lorri--my sister had this issue in a very bad way from day one of her pregnancy, so I would definitely start incorporating more fiber and maybe Omega-3 supplements or Metamucil into your regime. I am TTC and have not been pg, but I had neck surgery for a broken neck/herniated disc, and the medicines gave me this problem in an awful way! The above worked for me as well as my sister. Good luck to all of you, and remember DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!
P.S.--If you can stomach it, a shot of Flaxseed Oil followed by a shot of OJ can REALLY help.
I will be 12wks on Saturday and I still have the same problem. I can't say I eat really healthy because there are very few things I can hold down. My sickness has been coming and going. I thought I was done until yesterday it hit very hard. I think I'm going to try raisin brand to see if it helps with the constipation. And my dr. gave me a sheet of safe things for constipation and Metamucil is on it. I just haven't tried it as of yet. I'm going to try natural foods first.
Got the same thing here and the thing that has helped me the most is frosted mini wheats....I eat them every morning and it helps tons.
im about 8/9wks pg and ive been constipated also for about 2 days. do you think this could be from pregnancy even at this early stage?
i might try some fibre too.
xx
Eat Fiber One or another cereal that is 100% Fiber every morning, and eat fiber-rich foods such as apples, fresh fruit salad, and bran muffins throughout the day.Ask your doctor if you could drink a fiber supplement like Metamucil.
My sister had contipation problems during her pregnancies, and this helped her. Good Luck :-)
You poor thing!!! I'm still suffering from it & what i use is colase at night. My ob & pharmacist say that using colase is safe. I can't say it's helped a whole lot but now I'm able to go except for I think that I'm developing hemorrhoids - yikes!
