prescription meds and development

my husband and i are discussing having another child. The problem is his health...probably not the best time for a baby but...he is en renal failure and is taking several high blood pressure medications.  I know that pregnant women cannot take certain medication, so my question is- other than sperm flow, or count- will his meds interfere with the development of his share of the chromosomes?

It is best to read the indications on each rx under the "pregnancy and breast feeding" areas. There are a lot of medications that can cause birth defects even if taken by the man or handled by a woman that is not even taking them. Every med has a fact sheet that you should be able to find on the drug manufacturer's website. Good luck!
