progesterone and ovulation

my doctor sad that my progesteron level is 4! it is very low, but they put on Prometrium. I am just woundering how low it suppost to be to say that ovulation did not occur?

Ok so you found out you were not O'ing by the blood test? Did you have any signs of O'ing? Like eggwhite cervical mucus, cervical postition, positive OPK's, or ovulation pain or raised temps? I was wondering cuz I want to make sure I am O'ing. Do you know what signs there are to see if your progesterone is low besides the blood test?

I had progesterone of 4 as well. But I had temps that showed O as well as EWCM. Doctor was sure I needed Clomid- I won't take it, too many side effects for me.
I got progesterone suppositories but it hasnt helped much (still not pregnant). This past month my temps didnt go up much and my cycle was only 20 days  Pooo!
Right now I'm on a special diet as well as herbal supplements through a traditional med specialist.

Still hoping, praying because I'm not getting any younger.
