prometrium after cancelled IVF cycle

Hi all,
I recently went through my first IVF trial, but the cycle was cancelled on day 8 due to limited response to the medications. :-(  The doc now has me on 5 days of prometrium, I think to facilitate a period and start the whole process over.  Anyone know about prometrium being used to facilitate a period?  How many days later should it start?  Any side effects?

Hello! so sorry to hear about the cancellation of the cycle!! i'lll keep you in my thoughts! :)       I don't know much about IVF, but i took progesterone/prometrium for the first time this month and AF came 3 days later.. i asked a simliar question last week ,looks like most people got it around day 3 after stopping, but some got it before that!   Side effects for me were sleepiness!! a lot of women get sore bb's too, but I normally get that, so i actually had less of that on the progesterone!  good luck, keep us updated!
