I have been reading the post over the last two weeks and saw at least three new BFP and expecting twins. Congradulations to all of you!!
I was wondering if the twins occured from Clomid? IUI? or IVF? I am currently on Clomid 1st round at 50mg...
If you were taking Clomid for how long and what amount?
again, just curious as to what to expect chances are on doubles and how each of you were blessed with two.
I know with Clomid the chances are still low for twins. However, my SIL got pg with twins on Clomid (30yrs ago).
For the cycle I got pg on, it started with Fermera/Repronex. Wasn't doing a thing, so they bumped my Repronex up to 3 vials for two days, then 2.5 for 3 days. My eggs were ready on the fifth day, and I had four. Two of them (or we think...still a small chance they may be identical) fertilized. I only did ovuation induction which means just meds, no procedures.
We are now expecting twin girls sometime in August!!
I am now 7 wks preggo with twins. I took 100 mg of Clomid days 3-7 and did IUI. I have been on Clomid since last August. I did 3 cycles of 50, 1 cycle of 100, and 3 cycles of 150 mg. After the 150 mg, I went to an RE who lowered me back down to 100 mg and changed the days (3-7 vs. 5-9) and it did the trick. Just found out Friday there are 2 little ones in there, which explains why I've been so sick.
Although I would not have chosen twins, I feel very very blessed right now. Hopefully everything will continue to go ok with them.
My RE said the chances of twins on Clomid is 5-10%.
I hope to join this group. 2 0f my sisters have had twins naturally....I got PG on 1st round of clomid 50mg....I'll let ya know. super sticky baby dust and congrats to twin mommies to be :O)
