Hi guys,
I just got done with my first ivf cycle. I found out that I am pregnant two days ago. I took my 2nd beta test today.
My 1st beta, 10 days post transfer, was-160
My 2nd beta, 12 days post transfer, was-337
My clinic does not do any more beta hcg tests. Does that seem right? Do most only do two beta tests? Also, I don't know a whole lot about what the numbers mean. Do my numbers look good? My nurse seemed happy with them. I also have been getting conflicting info on whether or not I should be less concerned about a possible miscarraige (miscarriage
) from these numbers. Some people say that they would be less concerned looking at these numbers. Others say the numbers don't matter when it comes to that. Any opinions??? Sorry, so much information.....
Hi Carisa. I did IVF too. My 1st beta on 4/10 was 94 on 12 DPT and on 4/12 was 198 on 14 DPT. My dr. has not planned any more beta tests for me either. I have an ultrasound on April 19 and a consult with the dr. I think once the confirm the doubling, coupled with the ultrasound and placement of the embryos
inside the uterus, I don't think they continue to do the beta testing as often. From now on, I think it is just once a month. Congratulations on your success!!!!
