question on low beta hcg

we are 12 days post a 3 day transfer and our 1st blood hcg was today it was 33. my doctor called and said this was low and i shouldnt get my hopes up that yes it was positive but it should have been at least 50. okay so now i am told i am to be on bed rest all weekend and retest on monday to see if it doubles or not. i want this to work but i am having a hard time being positive right know the drs really scared me. after hours searching the web i have read so much to go crazy. so any thoughts anyone else have low? levels or have any ideas. every thing i have read says something different.     thanks and baby dust to all

Well I can't say myself that i have had this but i do know a girl on here that had a beta under 50 and she is doing fine...she 7 and a half weeks now. Her beta was taking it's sweet butt time to rise but eventually she got there. Try no to worry to much now just wait for your second beta to see if it's rising.....good luck to you sending baby dust your way:)

thanks i just am worried to much i guess this is our 2nd ivf/icsi the 1st was a great cycle and it did work but the next 9 months were full of nightmares one was in the tube and the other in the right place and after months of problems we had our little girl ryleigh but even with the night mares and craziness my numbers were always good. i think the drs calling not the nurse really scared me!!!!

just a quick update my 2nd beta was 99 my doubling time seems to be 44.8 hours i have another beta in the morning and if it has doubled then my drs will be happy until my ultrasound on 24 aug 09  thanks for all your thoughts!
