question re IVF no exercise/intercourse/caffeine "rules"

I started my first IVF cycle (day 1 of Lupron) today due to "unexplained infertility" and my MD said no exercise other than walking without breaking a sweat along with no intercourse, caffeine, alcohol, etc.
I am in great health other than the fertility issue and exercise regularly.

Questions....
Exercise: What about bike riding (slowly)?
Intercourse: Is it really a no no from day 1 of Lupron?
Caffeine: (1) 8 oz bottle of diet coke/tea is really unacceptable?

I'm just wondering if my doctor is on the conservative side.

Thank you!

Thanks to everyone for their comments! It makes me feel better about asking my MD for more "privileges" : )

My RE told me no sex while in 2ww and no strenuous activity.  Also, my ivf nurse told me to quit coffee but I still had some soda and tea occasionally.
Note that as you grow more follicles you may feel your ovaries and be uncomfortable with exercise or sex.  I did not have that problem but many people do.

Good luck to you!!!!

My doctor only told me not to do those things the two weeks after egg retrieval for IVF.  He never told me not to do any excercising or anything while I was on the stims.

This is what my RE told me:
Bike:no-no
Walking: yes, just not too much
Sex: Ok until 7th day of stims
Caffeine: 1 cup (nor mal sized) of coffee or 1 soda a day

They are all different though.  Yours sounds conservative, but I guess it's ultimately up to you.
