rising HCG but decreasing progesterone

Ok ladies, I went in today for another beta series, My HCG is rising really nicely but my progesterone is dropping dramatically. Should I be worried?

Am I doomed for another M/C? I am so worried, and my doctor is delivering babies. I don't see him until tomorrow but I am worrying myself to death here!

Hey you! don't worry, your doctor is running these test so he can fix whatever problem you might have before anything goes wrong. If your progesterone is dropping and it should'nt be, I'm sure he'll give you supplements.  Stop worrying!  :)    By the way, I'm really happy for you, your hcg levels look great!

Keep us posted.   I am starting to wonder if these lab tests were just done to play head games with us  I would be worried about the progesterone getting lower, but I don't know what it means   Your HCG looks really good though.    Did you call the nurse?   They've never checked my progesterone level and I'm not really sure why so I can't even ask my doc.

Thanks Ladies! I swear I don't ever remember them doing any kind of testing when I was pregnant with my DD or DS.I too think it's just to mess with us and keep us in a state of panic the whole time! I wouldn't have worried a bit if my doctor hadn't told me not to worry UNLESS my progesterone level dropped below 20! GRRRRRR I am so aggravated now! I finally got a hold of the nurse, she said she would definitely tell the Dr. what is going on and see what he says. She told me to definitely keep my appointment tomorrow ( as if I would cancel)! She said if he says anything today then she will call me. HELLO.. isn't he out of the office?? (that's what the last woman that I talked to told me) Unless he came back in or something. See AGGRAVATION!!!!!!!! sorry.. breathe breathe..  Don't they know this is a worrying pregnant woman here who's hormones are in such rage she could seriously HURT someone right about now!! lol

Hey Patty, gee whiz, you got your numbers back FAST. I would be concerned about the progesterone though. Are you on any kind of supplements?? My dr. put me on 100mg supp. just in case. I hope you hear from him today either to ease your mind or put you on supplements. I will say a special prayer for you!  Your HCG looks great! I did my beta this morning and won't find out until tomorrow afternoon. Keep us posted for sure!

My doctor didn't put me on anything because my progesterone levels last week were excellent! I am going to demand something. I am just really projecting the worst outcome, yanno? I swear, this is really stressing me out. I can NOT wait until tomorrow morning to get some answers! I go see him at 9:15. If I don't get some answers today I will be there when they open up tomorrow! GUARANTEED!!

I was told that the jeopardy is when the progestrone drops below 12... I have seen other posts of 10...

I am keeping my fingers crossed - but your HSG is doubling - and the numbers are very nice - just wait for the doctor's opinion and don't stress - please???? ;-)))))

You HCG numbers are really nice.
I would ask for progesterone supplements immediatly.Don't even wait tomorrow call the nurse and tell her you want it!!!

My progesterone went from 20 to 16 to 11.  They put me on progesterone suppositories and it went up to 39. They didn't test again after that, but now I'm 16wk2d so all has gone well.  The suppositories are supposed to work the best, then injectables and oral is supposed to be the least effective.

I go back to see my doctor in the morning and I am going to demand something!! I hope he gives me suppositories. I just can't imagine why it went from 32 to 18 in one week! Scary!!
