Hello Ladies...I did my second IUI yesterday along with 100mg of clomid. IUI was in the am, and I felt slight cramping the whole day. I remember I felt the same way after my first IUI which was earlier this month. But today I still feel the same plus nausea. Not that I'm complaining or anything, anything for a BFP, right? Anyway, thought you kind ladies out there could share some of your experiment with IUI. We've been ttc-ing for about 3 years now and I'm 34 yo, dh is 39. I've been taking clomid for 6 cycles now (not continuously). Thank you in advance for your kind response.

After my first IUI as soon as I got home , I started to cramp too. I felt the pain everytime I used the rest room to pee. Are you feeling that pain. I was worried and called the doctor and that stupid doctor's assistant said it must be infection prescribed antibiotics. The pain stopped after few days and in two weeks when I tested it was BFP. But, I lost the baby in 18th week. We are trying to conceive past three years. Recently (11/22) had second miscarriage
I just wanted to wish you luck this cycle. I hope it works!
I am also 34 and ttc for 2 years. Clomid didn't work for me either.
I will be doing my first IUI in 2 weeks but my doc told me that cramping is normal.
Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry for your lost but keep on trying.
I don't feel any pain, just discomfort, so nothing serious, I hope. My doctor told me to try at least 3 times of IUI with clomid before moving on with other option. So, crossing my finger
Thank you. Clomid didn't work for me. Started injection's and in the first IUI I got pregnant and lost. Tried 3 more times no success. Just had first round of IVF. Will go for FET next year. How many follicles
this time. Last time I had 2. Seems like a small number to me, but I don't know. Hope that's enough. I don't mind to have twins, but I heard you're not likely to have twins with IUI, but more with IVF. I also told my doctor clomid doesn't seem to work for me, but he said since dh and I both don't have any problems, he'd start easy.
To Helen72 and BabyBlue07, thank you for the words of ecouragement. Good luck to us all!
hi all,
i am 34 and this was my first month on injectibles for 10 days then hcg shot and an IUI. I have been cramping ever since the IUI (which was a week ago today). my RE said it is normal and nothing to be alarmed about. i cant believe i will find out in a week if i am pregnant....the past few months have be so draining...trying different medications. i am hoping to be blessed with a christmas surprise... good luck to all of you!!!!!
This was my first month on injectables and IUI. I had cramping for several hours following the procedure. I had it Thanksgiving morning. It was like menstrual cramps....
I did Clomid for four months and my RE will not do it for more than that so we had to move on to injectables.
I don't want to jinx myself, but I have to order my meds this weekend for them to arrive in time for next cycle...They come from overseas and take awhile......
Good luck!! I've had 2 IUI's. So far neither produced a BFP. I was on 50 mg. Clomid for the 1st one and 100mg for the second. Each time I felt crampy for the 1st 24 hrs after the IUI.
I go in tomorrow for FSH, estradiol testing. If all turns out normal, I'll see if my doc. will ok me a HCG trigger this time around to help with timing. I also plan to try 2 IUI's this time. I hear it takes an average of 3 - 4 IUI's for BFP. I have a friend who was about your age and it only took one time for her. Each time around your chance increases. I know you're probably wanting to hear from people who've had successful IUI's. But, I hope some of this helps. Best of luck and lots of BBD.
