should i ask for the trigger shot?

Yesterdayou i found out my friend preg, and today my 2 round Clomid fails. Both these first rounds i didn't take trigger shots. I lost hope, i feel like Clomid will never work for me cause i did ovulate with Clomid, but cannot conceive. my DH is OK. do you think if i take the trigger shot will help or just forget Clomid and go with IUI.

I know how you must feel finding out your friend is pregnant.  It is a hard thing to deal with.  I also just found out my friend is pregnant and had been lying to me about it.  She found out she was pregnant 2 days before I had my miscarriage....yet she kept telling me she was so upset she couldn't get pregnant.  Positive news for you though...she got pregnant after her 3rd round of Clomid...don't give up hope...I wish you all the best.

It is a good news. I will talk to my doctor about IUI next meeting. Thank you and take care.

Sometimes on clomid you can develop mature follies but not actually ovulate.  If that is the case, the trigger shot will help with this and with the timing.  But if you are ovulating and you know your timing is correct, then I don't know that the trigger shot will make much difference.

For me IUI was the ticket.  DH and I had been ttc for about 1.5y when we started IUI.  I've had three.  I got pg the first time but it didn't work out and am 8w7d pg right now.  My insurance didn't cover the iui itself but it did pay for all the appointments, meds and ultrasounds.  It was a little confusing to figure that out.  At first I didn't think it covered any of it.

Best of luck to you.
