stopped clomid after day 1

Hi, I took my first dose of clomid today which is 50mg.  I did not like the side effects and have decided to stop taking it.  I do ovulate on my own...will one pill mess up my cycle and prevent me from ovulating naturally?

it shouldnt bother you but its rare that you would get side effects on the first one.it takes a day or to to get into your system,what kind of side effects did you get?

Thanks for responding, I have uncomfortable cramps and a bloating feeling.  This is new to me because I have never really had cramps like this during my period.  I hope they go away soon.  I just want to make sure that I'll still be able to ovulate because I did not finish the treatment.  As I said before, I do ovulate naturally, I just have not been able to concieve (conceive) after 6 tries with a fertility monitor.

Yes, those are definately side effects from clomid.  If you don't feel comftortable with the side effects then you were right to stop.  It shouldn't mess up your cycle at all especially since you only took one pill.  Good luck to you!!

i had side effects the first two days of clomid, but they were a little different. i had something wrong with my eyes.  my vision was a little blurry. i heard it can cause that, but after the first two days, it went away and i was fine from then on.  i agree with rmae990. you should stop taking any meds that cause side effects that your not comfortable with.  good luck
