success stories

Hello girls!! I am very new to this type of thing, but I do find that reading pregnancy success stories from other women who have PCOS, really helps me to cope with the fact that I have fertility issues. I am on my second round of 50mg of clomid and Im also taking Metformin. Are there any women who have successfuly conceived on Clomid and how many rounds did it take?

I don't have a clomid success story (I took probably 12 or so rounds of it over the course of the past seven years).  But I do have PCOS and just got a BFP result through our second round of IVF!!  We're over the moon!!  GOOD LUCK to you!!!

Hi there,
I know what you mean about holding off after having ectopic. it took me 2 yr to get here to my 2nd IUI! i was soo afraid of recurrence that i just stopped trying altogether. i actually avoided it during ovul days! that's awful right? it's so an emotionally taxing process and every ounce of strength and courage that we all endure each month seems to dwindle.however having people in here ,like u,helps soo much. you do feel less alone and so supported. So you have to wait until June?Well just baby yourself and eat lots of spinach! i heard that helps a ton.that and of course prenatals are a huge help. I am on day 8 and i'm only feeling sensitive nipples but otherwise i dont feel anything. I am not sure on my first IUI when i started to feel preg but it felt like it was towards the end of the 2-3wk wait,i'm hoping for god's love and mercy on me this time and that all goes well. Hope that little egg buries itself deep and starts to grow inside for next 10mos! I'm sending you a big hug and also did you feel like i did any of times you were preg on IUI during aroudnn this time?? sorry for all the questions! big hugs! Mels

I dont know how true this is but i have read somewhere Clomid increases chances of ectopic the gynea doc i saw when i had the ectopic said what happens is Clomid tricks the brain into thinking your going to start the menopause therefore produces as much foliculs as possible, Then he said what happened to me is because of my previous ectopic (that ruptured my right tube) i have scarring around my left so the egg was too big to get through so implanted in my left tube.
Im actually only giving clomid another go until iv had 3 normal cycles i can have icsi but had a m/c in Nov so they want me 2 wait 3 cycles before starting treatment so thought id give clomid another go but it makes me very nervous with my previous ectopics.

I will get there one day.....hopefully sooner rather than later lol

Hi ,
well i had success on my first IUI,i took clomid days 5-9 and had trigger shot. I did not think I would have a positive BFP so i never took an HPT. Come to find out that I actually was pregnant! However i lost baby at 7 weeks and so now im on 2nd cycle of clomid once again. I'm 7 days poiui. How many days are you out?

HI amy_1985 wow how weird I had exact same i did first cycle and ectopic also. I'm sorry for your loss also but excited and hopeful for your trying again! Don't give up on your dream!

I was dx'd with PCOS last April after TTC for 10 months unsuccessfully.  I had the lap with ovarian drilling on May 5th, waited a full cycle, went on provera followed by clomid 50mg and metformin.  I was able to conceive during my first round.  Unfortunately, my angel grew wings around 8wks due to a blighted ovum (chromosomal defect, nothing to do with clomid).  We are finally doing our 2nd round now, I took my clomind cd3-7 and have my follie scan in a few days.  Rest assured that Clomid will help!!  Best of luck and sticky baby dust!

hi
unfortunatly i dont have a comment on the PCOS but i do on Clomid, i took it last year, I do ovulate just my cycles are all over the place so the doc put me on Clomid to regulate me. I was sucessful 1st cycle but unfortunatly it was an ectopic pregnancy. I also took Clomid last month no joy that time, this is my "break" month as i find Clomid has soooo many side affects, Im currently on CD21 and started bleeding yest but i have also read this is common when youve been on Clomid so im now in Limbo as to weather this is a true AF....The things we go through ttc lol What days are you taking Clomid mine was prescribed CD2-6.
Ohh also my sis in law got pregnant on her 3rd round of Clomid 2yrs ago and went on to have a healthy baby girl.

Good luck i hope it works for you...SSBD
