success with 3dt with 6 cell embryos?

Hi All, Ive been reading all the posts about IVF ever since I started this journey.  I had my transfer on Friday of 3 embryos. 2 6 cell and 0 fragmentation and 1 almost 6 cell .5 fragmentation.  I keep reading that 5 days are better, so I'm looking for some encouragement about my success chances.  I've read posts from before, but are there any recent stories of success of 3 day 6embryo transfers, please share.  I'm freaking out and need to relax.  Thanks so much!

Sending out positive vibes for you!  We had our 1st and likely only embryo transfer on Sunday.  Of our 5 embryos 3 arrested.  We transferred back 2 Grade C embryos.  1 was a 6 cell with some frag; the other a 5 cell with a little more frag.  I'm in Oklahoma and wonder if the letter grading correlates with the 1-2-3 people have referred to here.  In any case- I wish you well!

Hi all - I just wanted to give an update. I had my first post transfer progesterone check. It came back good and my estrogen is the same as before not any lower- so I  guess that is a good thing.  Unfortunately I found out that we didn't have Any little guys make it to freeIzing - so were bummed about that. But I still have 3 in me that have hopefully implanted and started growing. Please send me some positive baby wishes!!!

By Beta do you mean the pregnancy blood test?  I still don't know all the lingo :).  It's on the 18th. I have a progesterone check tomorrow morning.  I don't know if that tells me anything? but I have no idea how I'm going to get to next Tuesday. I wish there was a way to know!!!!!!!!!

I had a 3 day transfer of one 7 cell and one 6 cell a bit of fragmentation and I am 20w5d. You never know, the embryologist makes the call as to what embryos have the best chance and there is no stats that say 5 day transfers are any more successful. Good luck!

We recently had 3 day 3 embryos transferred. One was a grade 3 7 cell embie w/ no fragmentation and the other 2 were grade 1 with fragmentation. We are pregnant and have our first ultrasound in a week!! We are very excited and feel very blessed. This was our 2nd IVF cycle. The first one we did 5 day blastocyst transfer and got a BFN. So you really never know!!! Good Luck to you!!! I was worried about the same thing. I thought 5 day was better but here we are pregnant!

Not sure if this is helpful, however I had a 3 day, 3 embryo transfer, all 8.1 cell (so some fragments).  2 took, and just found out that one of them split, so I'm now pregnant w/a set of identical twins as well as one singleton.

My RE said the same as Helen, sometimes the fragmented embroys plant and the non fragmented don't.

Hope you get the BFP soon.

Thank you so much Helen.  It's been so tough and I keep wondering what every little feeling my body is having means.  I also can't help having that "nervous" feeling in my stomach, and I know that is not good, and that I have to think positive. I'm so happy to hear your story and I hope mine has an ending like that!!!

Any advice?  I've been resting since my transfer on Friday, but I'm working from home today..I have to go back to work tomorrow, but maybe that will help with having the time pass by!!!!

We trasferred 3 embryos on day three, two 5-cell and one 6-cell, all fragmented.  Our embryologist would not even give us probability of success.  BUT 2 weeks later I was prego and now we have a perfect baby girl!  So, the way I see it your chances are better than mine were.  Often times perfect embryos do not implant and fragmented embryos do.  There are no rules here.

Good luck!!!!!!!
