I had to wear them up until the end of the first trimester, just like the progesterone shots.
Thanks everyone. I will definitley try that next time (baby oil and hot shower). I do use rubbing alcohol before puting them on. I also shaved any peach fuzz. It still killed to remove them. There were like strands of super glue from the patch to my skin. How long do you have to wear them??? The first trimester? I hope not.
FYI......I went to the beach and I had trouble once my patches got suncreen on them, they wanted to try to wrinkle up. They weren't necessarily trying to come off, but it seemed as though they were not stuck as well.
Although this may not seem apealing to you, LOL, to make them stick more, you cleanse the skin with alcohol, let it dry, then put the patches on the skin where you cleansed with alcohol.
When I did this and took the patches off, they did not seem to hurt any more than usual. Just wanted to pass this on.
I did the combo...baby oil in the shower. Works pretty well. Douce the edges of the patch with some oil once you have gotten the patches wet and then pull them off. They are providing extra estrogen to support pregnancy.
I found that it was easier to take them off in the shower, toward the end of the shower. They seemed to hurt more when I took them off dry. Try what Angel said, that sounds like a good idea.
I guess I will try that next time!!!! Thank you. How important is it to wear these patches anyway? I almost don't want to put new ones on. Do you have any idea what they are really doing?
Try rubbing a little baby oil over it. I'm allergic to adhesive and that's what we had to do...take a shower to soften it then baby oil. Hope it helps! Katie
holy cr**! I got it and I do NOT want to put new ones on!!!! OOOOUUUUCHHHH!!!!!
