For fertility reasons I had a chylmadia Amplifieed test done and it came back negative. Now doctor is ordering a Chylmadia antibody test. What is the difference between them? And if the amplifieed was negative why order the antibody test? If I was infected in the past could the antibody test come back positive even though the ampliffed test was negative?
Well I am not sure but the antibody test shows if you are more likely to catch it. If you had a positive one before I think he just wants to make sure it is not dormant and you still have it but it is not active. I have heard of people having it but not being treated wel enough and therefore they have the antibodies. Make since? I don't know much about this but this is what I have heard.
