testical size

hi me and my wife have been trying for a baby now for 8 months with no success, so the brain is working overtime thinking about whats wrong. i have been working night shift for that whole time so im thinking that this is affecting are chances. and now im getting paranoid about my balls, i think there average but have never compared them so my question is does testical size play a role?? do small testicals still produce the same amount of sperm?

hi there me and my hubby have been trying for 2 years and he does alot of driving and sitting down so my doc told him to sit on ice packs as the heat can kill sperm quality but as for the size as far as we have been told there is absolutely no problems with that ,have you had your sperm count done and also has your wife had any testing done ???? but if all is ok with both of you it can a normal couple up to 12 months to fall preggo and then if still nothing they reccomend to start seeing a specailist as for us my hubbys sperm is fine its me that has poly cystic ovaries ..im wishing you both the best of luck and hopefully you will see those two lines very soon xxxx

Me and my partner have both been to a fertility specialist and all is fine with both of us, we have been ttc for 28 months with no joy, don't let ttc control your life as i have done for so long, having sex eventually becomes a chore and you need to restart and find the old spark.  I do agree with lesley, it can take a normal, healthy couple from 1-2 years to conceive their first child.  I have been told if we do not conceive naturally by April 2010 we will be added to the 3 year IVF waiting list.

Enjoy ttc and even though you work nights as my partner does, make time before you leave for work and if your wife is up for it when you come home in the morning.  Sex is more adventurous when you do it during the day rather than just bedtime.  Best of luck!!!

thanks for replys. yeah my wife has had a test to see if she is ovulating and she is but her friends say that her tubes could need flused out (sounds like an engine lol) and were both getting refered next week which should be fun! im just hoping were both tip top and its just bad timing. as for sex, because im on nights we kinda have sex at the same time so we could be missing this short window. its crazy that two healthy people can take this long to concieve (conceive) and theres dirt bags get preggers straight away.

any way im away for a cup of green tea and an orange lol.

My partner and i have been trying to conceive for 10 months now and we have both undergone testing! In his testing it sadly came back that he had a very low count of 2mil! Our doctor asked us to go away and take supplements and him wear loose boxers etc and come back in 3 months and see if it has improved! If not we will then be referred! My partner also has very small testicles and we have wondered if there maybe a link although all the research suggests that testicle size does not have any barring! It would be good to keep in touch to hear how you get on! We have another 5 weeks until he does his 2nd test so will let you know.

hopefully the supplements work for you and your husband, it can really get to you after a while all the constant thinking about concieving. from all the research ive done on testical size the average size seems to be 1"x1" and mine seem to be of this size maybe bigger, if you dont mind me asking is this the same for your husband??

also im 28 and from the age of 14 to 21 i took quite alot of drugs so im know thinking that this is effecting our chances. theres always something im getting paranoid about now. let me know how your second test goes.

Sorry i didnt realise you had replied until just now.  I know my partner is starting to get really down and he feels like he is letting me down which is silly! I love him all the more for been so strong about the situation.  My partner also took alot of drugs when he was younger and so you maybe right but for a bit of comfort alot of his freinds that also took drugs have children and didnt have problems conceiving.  I wouldnt like to say how big his testicles are, i would probably say about the same (1"x1") but wouldnt have thought any larger than that! During interourse they dont hang down either which has concerned me!  Have you had any tests done?  I think the best thing for you to do would be to do a ST so you can stop wondering and worrying what the cause could be.  We have our second test in December though we both no its not going to be in the range it should be because otherwise id be pregnant right!!!

hi there

i no i should really get the test done, think we are going to give this month a bash then get it done. my wife has just been referred and that will proberly take a few months so i have got some time. as its not something im looking forward to. the drug thing is the same with me, most of my friends took drugs and they are now parents so thats me just being paranoid. thats us at the 10 month mark now which is nothing as we are being told by everyone but 10 months feels ages when its you trying lol.
